Coach Nick Eversole

Posted by Baseball Coach in Dec, 2022

Assistant and Head Development Coach

Nick Eversole is entering his second season as an Assistant Baseball Coach for Barton College in 2024.

Previously, Eversole spent the last seven years at Bellarmine University, a private institution located in Louisville, Kentucky.  His first five years there were marked with many program-firsts and great accomplishments as a member of NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).

After the 2020 season, Bellarmine began its transition to Division I and joined the ASUN conference. Prior to Bellarmine, Eversole played collegiately at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (a member of NCAA Division II and PSAC) from 2010 to 2013 and coached there during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Eversole came to Bellarmine after a two-year stint coaching at his alma mater, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.  In Bloomsburg, Eversole worked with the outfielders and catchers while assisting with hitting and recruiting.  In 2014, the Huskies won 28 games en route to another postseason berth.  Two Bloomsburg players that Eversole coached would be drafted as the Padres took Tyler Benson in 31st round of the 2017 draft and the Giants selected Austin Edgette in the 33rd round of the 2018 draft. Following his time at Bloomsburg, Eversole moved to Colorado in the summer of 2015 and was the head coach for the Summit County Black Diamonds of the Mountain West Collegiate League.

A three-year starter at catcher and first base for Bloomsburg from 2010-13, Eversole was named All-Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC) in 2011 and team MVP in 2013.  For his career, Eversole amassed over 100 hits and, as a catcher, threw out over 25 percent of potential base stealers. He was named PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the week in his final week as a college player after hitting .417 with two home runs to finish out his career.

Eversole received his bachelor’s degree in business from Bloomsburg.  He is a native of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, and a 2009 graduate of Indian Valley High School.
